EJACULATORY ADVENTURES WITH SUPER JUNIOR [

coyotecolored
warning, these recollections were jointly recorded by Kat and myself, for day 2 at least, and my tenses are all over the place and I'm pretty fucking beat. so excuse total inanity. there might be a more serious "concert report" at some point, but not at this hour, on this little sleep, when we really just wanted to jot down as much as we could remember.

Super Show: day 1 )
Super Show: day 2 )

I smell funny so I'm going to go at least make an attempt to wash, now, slather myself in more aloe, and go to bed!
also, uh, I missed over 2 full days of LJ, basically, and if anything important happened during that time, I may never see it without being linked to it. depends on how much energy I have in the morning to hit the back button 42 times.

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to say first of all that it's fantastic to see such an active english speaking Host community prevalent online. Although I haven't posted previously, I have been following this community for sometime now and have always been entertained and appreciative of the amount of material that is always made available.

As such, I have been inspired to make my own contribution to the host community, which I will be doing through weekly video blogs. The idea of my 'Host Corner' segments, is to provide information about various aspects of Host culture. I have a variety of topics I am eager to get into over the next few segments, but would be more than happy to take onboard any suggestions you guys may have.

Thanks very much guys, and please keep promoting Host culture no matter where in the world you may be! ^__^

HELP ME!!!! [

Can anyone had a dabble at translating this into Japanese? My major is Sports Teaching!!!! Not Japanese!!!!

The recommendations given for a daily kilojoule intake refer to an adult person with moderate activity. For women it should be around 8,360 kilojoules and for men 10,450-11,704 kilojoules each day. Toddlers need about 5,434 kilojoules each day. For children aged 7 to 10, the estimated average requirement of energy is 8,235 kilojoules a day for boys and 7273 kilojoules for girls. But this is only a guide; many children will need more than these estimates and some will need less, depending on a number of things, including how physically active they are.

For those in developed countries, there are an increasing number of services and products that aim to reduce physical input into an activity. For example, an electric can opener. It does all the hard work for us. Escalators are another example. With all the technology doing our work, we are often reducing the amount of kilojoules we burn per day, often resulting of a build up of extra energy and therefore extra weight gain.

Up until now, my friend has been helping but now she is busy I am stuffed!

Idol group Super Junior has charged into their Asia Tour with their first performance in Seoul.

On the 18th Super Junior, at the Olympic stadium fencing arena, had a press conference for their Second Asia Tour Concert 'Super Show II' , revealing their thoughts: "Rising to high rankings on foreign charts as a Korean artist is really satisfying.", "In the future, we'll do our best to make our name widely known in Asia."

Member Leeteuk says "We, too, were brought up watching New Kids on the Block and other foreign artists, but now the foreign fans go wild watching us.", "We're letting our country's culture being known to foreign countries, we have pride that our voices are playing a role." and asks for support.

From the 17th till the 19th, Super Junior's performances will be spread out over 3 days in Seoul. Starting from these performances they will be making 15 performances in 8 of Asia's cities including Tokyo (Japan), Beijing (China), Shanghai (China), Bangkok (Thailand), Taipei (Taiwan), etc. extending to a large scale of performances.

Super Junior Question & Answers )

translation: rocket @ sj-world.net

I know a video and a summary of what was said were posted but this is the whole interview!

Also, Eeteuk mentioning NKOTB reminds me how "old" most Super Junior members are in comparison to most other idols out there, LOL.

SDN48 recuits two more members. [

[shaneen]

SDN48, a new unit being assembled for the AKB48-related "Saturday Night 48" project, has picked up two members from the ranks of AKB48. The group's two oldest members, Megumi Ohori (25) and Kayo Noro (25), were officially announced as part of the roster on Friday night.
"Saturday Night 48" was revealed last year as a series of late-night shows being held at AKB48's theater in Akihabara, geared towards an adult audience. Recruitment has been underway for the SDN48 group, limited to idols at least 20 years of age. So far, the only known participating members of AKB48 are Ohori and Noro. Both will remain active with AKB48.

The "Saturday Night 48" concerts will be held at 10pm on Saturday nights, starting on July 25.

[inquiry] Interest in buying the Swedish single? [
... July 19th 2009 @ 03:51 ...
]

news_jpop

[kayen]
NOTE: This is all a suggestion for now. This entry is meant to check how many would be interested. That is, if there's any point in arranging it.

There's a preview of the single (which, in case you've missed it, contains two tracks not released in Japan) here: http://community.livejournal.com/news_jpop/4481427.html

The importance of buying this single, for those who feel confused. )

Since many of you have cited a lack of money (for shipping, mainly) as a reason why you won't buy the Swedish Tanabata Matsuri single, please consider this:

You could buy the single through me* for 55 SEK ($7, ¥660) including worldwide shipping. The singles would be mailed in padded letters (the ones with bubbles... what are they called?). (Single + letter + postage = 25 + 4 + 26 = 55 SEK)

However, if you're fine with just having the ripped/scanned version and feel you can't/won't pay for postage, you could still support Tegomass by buying the single for 25 SEK ($3) and having me 'store' it for you. Goodness knows I don't need a pile of singles, but you would be helping Tegomass sell well. See it as making a donation to a good cause? ;)

You could of course also buy more singles, if you want to support this little international venture of JE even more:

Two singles would be 80 SEK (50 + 3 + 26 + 1). Eight singles would be 270 SEK (200 + 3 + 67). Unless you want to buy two to ship and the rest to store. Example: 80 (two shipped singles) + 75 (three stored singles) = 155 SEK.

Can those of you who would be interested pay through PayPal? What other payment options would you suggest?

If you need to pay with concealed cash, the price for one single would be ¥1000, HK$60, €10, or US$10. No coins!

Poll #1431824
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All

Would you be interested in buying the Swedish edition?

View Answers

I would buy one, and pay for shipping.
8 (72.7%)

I would buy one, but I don't need the physical single.
1 (9.1%)

I would buy two! To support Tegomass!
1 (9.1%)

I would buy more than two, for me and my friends!
1 (9.1%)

*While I would take (most of) the orders, Marita L would help with the buying/mailing and concealed cash option. So you would send cash to her, if cash is what you prefer.

Once again, this is only a SUGGESTION at this point. Please answer the poll or comment below if you're interested. I will post a separate entry if I decide to go ahead with this.

KimuTaku confirmed for live-action "Yamato" film [

aramatheydidnt

[mikichuchu]

Rumors of a live-action "Space Battleship Yamato" movie were confirmed on Saturday at an Otakon panel. Noboru Ishiguro, the director of the "Yamato" anime series, further confirmed that SMAP's Takuya Kimura will be the star of the film, playing the protagonist Susumu Kodai.

Ishiguro also stated that the movie seems to be focused more on the romantic aspects of the story. Rumors have recently surfaced that Erika Sawajiri will be making her acting comeback as the lead female character Yuki, but that has not yet been confirmed.

"Space Battleship Yamato" also has a new animated film scheduled for release this year.
